Deactivate Listing

Stop publishing business information to online listing directories for a location.

deactivate_listing

Description

Stops all directory publishing for a specific location, removing the business from syncing to online listing directories such as Google, Bing, Apple, and Facebook. This is typically used when a location is temporarily closed or being restructured.

This stops all directory publishing for the location. To resume publishing, call fix_listing or create a new listing. Confirm with the user before proceeding.

Example Usage

Deactivate the listing for location 78901 — the branch is temporarily closed.

Stop directory publishing for my Westside location.

Notes

• locationId follows the same child location convention as fix_listing — use get_child_locations to get valid IDs.
• To resume publishing after deactivation, call fix_listing.
• Use get_listing_location_status_report to confirm the deactivation status.
